Langtang trekking 12 Days

This trek enables you to explore through the Langtang National Park home of the Tibetan looking people the Tamangs. We begin our journey by drive towards the North West of Kathmandu to a mountain village of Dhunche a major village of Langtang area. The trek commences from here to the farmland, villages and forest of Rhododendron, conifer, bamboos, oaks and pines.

In the spring forest looks enchanting with flowers all around. After passing this fascinating scenery we follow the narrow gorge of Langtang River till we ascend to the large alpine grass land of Kyangin Gompa where the glacier meets the meadow. You can see Yaks grazing around with the backdrops of snowy peaks of Langtang Ri, Langtang Lirung, Dorjee Lakpa and many other unnamed mountains around you.

Day to Day Itinerary
Day 1 Arriving into Kathmandu. O/N Kathmandu Hotel
Namaste and welcome to Nepal, You’ll be meet and assisted at the airport by our local representatives who will arrange your transfer and check in to your hotel.
Day 2 Sightseeing / Cultural Day in Kathmandu. O/N Kathmandu Hotel
In the morning we explore Kathmandu on an organized sightseeing tour visiting Bodhnath Stupa & Swoyambhu Nath Stupa. Here we may observe Buddhist monks in prayer in the monasteries surrounding the Stupa. Where we can visit the surrounding monasteries and perhaps watch the monks as they chant their daily mantras. In addition, we visit Pashupatinath, the most famous Hindu temple in the country, located on the banks of the holy Bagmati River. Here we will see Hindu holymen (or Sadhus), pilgrims bathing and, occasionally, funeral pyres burning on the ghats. In the evening, you will be supplied with your trek packs and final departure details for tomorrow.
Day 3 Kathmandu – Syabrubesi. O/N Syabrubesi
From Dhunche there is a decent to the Trisuli River, which is reached within half an hour. From the river bed there is a steep climb to Dovan. Right from here a track to Gosaikunda leaves the main trail to Rasuwa Ghari and the Lantang valley. From Dovan there is a gentle climb to Gharku village is reached. From Bharku, traversing up and down after crossing a suspension bridge over the Langtang River, the village of Syabrubesi is reached.
Day 4 Syabrubesi – Lama Hotel. O/N Lama Hotel
Today we will hike along the Langtang khola (river), consisting mainly of scrub oak, bottom of the high rocky mountains. From Bamboo lodge, where we have lunch, the ascent continues to steel suspension bridge at 2000m then still climbs along side a series of waterfalls and finally to we reached to Rimche. From here the trail descends gently to Lama Hotel, at 2380m. Stay over night.
Day 5 Lama Hotel – Langtang Valley. O/N Langtang Valley
The trail traverses up and down through the forest and Ghoratabela is reached within 3 hours. From there, again a short climb for ½ hours will bring us to a pass to the right of where the Langtang valley begins.
Day 6 Langtang Villages – Kyangjing Gompa. O/N Kyangjing Gompa
From Langtang, there is a gentle ascent of 4 hrs to Kyangjing Gompa.
Day 7 Kyangjing Gompa rest day. O/N Kyangjing Gompa
After visiting Kyangjing Monastery, an excellent look-out can be reached by climbing the slopes immediately behind the Kyangjing Gompa. A visit to Yala Cheese factory and a small lake beyond Yala is worthwhile.if anybody interested we can go to kyangjing ri claim come back take lunch and take rest.
Day 8 Kyangjing Gompa – Kyangjing Gompa – Lama Hotel. O/N Lama Hotel
After breakfast at Kyangjing Gompa, we return to Langtang via the same route. O/N- Lama Hotel.
Day 9 Lama Hotel – Syabrubesi. O/N Syabrubesi
Day 10 Syabrubesi – Kathmandu. O/N Kathmandu Hotel
Day 11 Rest day in Kathmandu. O/N Kathmandu Hotel
Day 12 Return home with a warm GOOD BYE and NAMASTE..!!

Our package cost includes the following services:

  • Transfer to and from the international airport and domestic airport/hotel/airport.
  • Welcome dinner on the arrival evening. Breakfast, lunch and dinner (Veg /non Veg.) during the trek as per your preferred menu.
  • Required number of experienced English speaking guides (license holders) and support staffs during the trek.
  • Required numbers of experiences Licenses holder English speaking guide and supporters during the Trek.
  • All Government taxes and Langtang National Park fees
  • Meal/accommodation/salary/insurance/equipments for all the Nepali crewmembers.

  • Accommodation in the best available lodge during the trek.
  • Accommodation in a hotel in Kathmandu including breakfast, as per the scheduled itinerary.
  • First aid medicine while traveling in Nepal.
  • Sleeping bags, if necessary, during the trek.
  • TIMS Card (Trekkers Information Management System)
  • Good Bye dinner, on the last day, at a traditional Nepali place that offers traditional food and showcases typical dances.

  • Meals in Kathmandu (Lunch and Dinner).
  • Tourist entry visa that can be obtained from Nepal Embassy/Consulate or Mission offices abroad, or at the following immigration offices in Nepal.

      Visa Duration Fees: Multiple entry for 15 days- US $25 or equivalent convertible currency
      Multiple entry for 30 days- US $40 or equivalent convertible currency
      Multiple entry for 90 days- US $100 or equivalent convertible currency
    3. TOURIST VISA EXTENSION
      01: Visa extension fee for 15 days or less is US $30 or equivalent convertible currency and visa extension fee for more than 15 days is US $2 per day
      02: Tourist visa can be extended for a maximum period of 150 days in a single visa year (January-December).

    4. TRANSIT VISA
      Transit visa for one day can be obtained from Nepal’s immigration offices at the various entry points upon showing a valid departure flight ticket via the Tribhuvan International Airport by paying US $5 or equivalent currency.
  • Expenses of a personal nature such as alcoholic drinks, cold drinks, laundry, tips for your guide and support staffs etc. (Tipping is expected but it is not mandatory).
  • Rescue charge if needed our company can arrange it.
  • Personal trekking equipments.
