Ghorepani and Gandruk Trekking 12 Days

After driving 30 minutes from Pokhara, you will reach to the trek starting point is Birethanti. As you proceed slowly along the trek upward, the varied characteristics of the nature and those of the cultures and customs of different ethnic groups are noticed. On the day you arrive at an altitude of 2800m. You will have a pleasant feeling for being quite near to nature. The day after as you get to a place called Poonhill after walking up a distance of around an hour, you can not only enjoy a superb panorama of both Annapurna and Dhaulagiri but also very splendid and magnificent view of sunrise. Poonhill is one of the most interesting features of this trekking tour. The downward return trek becoming different from that of upwards, foes through one of the big forests of rhododendron of the world. If it is the month of May the complete forest becomes a mixture of white and red blossoms of rhododendron.

Day to Day Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive in Kathmandu Airport & Transfer to Hotel. O/N Hotel<>Namaste and welcome to Nepal, You’ll be meet and assisted at the airport by our local representatives who will arrange your transfer and check in to your hotel.
Day 2 Kathmandu Sightseeing. O/N Kathmandu Hotel
In the morning we explore Kathmandu on an organized sightseeing tour visiting Bodhnath Stupa & Swoyambhu Nath Stupa. Here we may observe Buddhist monks in prayer in the monasteries surrounding the Stupa. Where we can visit the surrounding monasteries and perhaps watch the monks as they chant their daily mantras. In addition, we visit Pashupatinath, the most famous Hindu temple in the country, located on the banks of the holy Bagmati River. Here we will see Hindu holymen (or Sadhus), pilgrims bathing and, occasionally, funeral pyres burning on the ghats. In the evening, you will be supplied with your trek packs and final departure details for tomorrow.
Day 3 Drive Kathmandu To Pokhara. O/N Pokhara Hotel
Today we drive to Pokhara(200km), approximately 7 hours away by tourist bus. We will be arriving late afternoon at Pokhara around 2:00 o’clock. Pokhara is an enchanting Himalayan Valley of remarkable beauty. We can explore its scenic land on bicycle/on foot or as your own like boating in Fewa Lake over looking the region of Annapurna Himalayan ranges. In the evening prepare for the trek. O/N.
Day 4 Pokhara – Tikhe Dhunga Or Uleri
After breakfast in the morning we drive to Nayapul (48 km.) 1.5 hr by vehicle over via hilly ridges of Lumle/kande and walk about 20 minutes to Birethanti, a large and prosperous town. Beyond a pasture used by pony caravans, the trail reaches Sudami where we have Lunch. After lunch climb steadily up the side of the valley, reaching Hile at 1495m near by Tikhedhunga. Along the way various hamlets offer ample camping possibilities but if Gorepani is the objective for the next day it is better to push to Tikhe Dhunga. Q/N at Tikhe Dhunga.
Day 5 Tikhe Dhunga – Ghorepani. O/N Ghorepani
Breakfast served in the morning around 7:am. From Tikhedhunga the trail crosses a stream (Bhurungdi Khola) on a suspension bridge to start the long steep climb to the large Magar village Ulleri at 2070m. Above the village where the trail climbs gently through pastures and cultivated fields. There are magnificent rhododendron and oak forest. Lunch spot in Nangethanti. Thanti is a Nepali words meaning “rest house”. In the winter the trail can be covered with show. From Nangethanti about one hours walking to Ghorepani at 2848m. Arrive at the top of the Ghorepani pass and camp there. Q/N in Ghorepani.
Day 6 Ghorepani – Ghorepani – Tadapani. O/N Tadapani
Today we walk on the long descent into Kali Gandaki canyon. Enjoy the cool quite of the forest as we descend steeply through Chitre, Shikha and Ghara all of which offers refreshment and a chance to rest your knees. After about 6000 ft. of descend we cross we have our first sight of the Kali Gandaki River, which we cross to reach Tatopani. Tatopani consists several clusters of building with excellent food, hot spring and nice view of Nilgiri mountain. Sipping your beer as you enjoy your soak, drinking in the lovely atmosphere and surroundings of the riverside. Day 07: Tadapani – Ghandruk

Day 8 Ghandruk – Pokhara. O/N Pokhara Hotel
Day 9 Pokhara rest day and sightseeing in Pokhara freely. O/N Pokhara Hotel
Spend the days relaxing in this lovely town, with its wonderful lakeside setting.
Day 10 Drive Pokhara – Kathmandu. O/N Kathmandu Hotel
An early start to take the tourist bus back to Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.
Day 11 Kathmandu rest day. O/N Kathmandu Hotel
Day 12 Transfer to International Airport flight with WARM GOOD BYE and Warm Namaste..!! and Namaste..!!

      Multiple entry for 15 days US $25 or equivalent convertible currency

    3. TOURIST VISA EXTENSION
      01: Visa extension fee for 15 days or less is US $30 or equivalent convertible currency and visa extension fee for more than 15 days is US $2 per day
      02: Tourist visa can be extended for a maximum period of 150 days in a single visa year (January-December).
    4. TRANSIT VISA
      Transit visa, for one day, can be obtained from Nepal’s immigration offices at the various entry points upon showing a valid departure flight ticket via the Tribhuvan International Airport in Nepal, by paying US$5 or equivalent convertible currency.
  • Expenses of a personal nature such as alcoholic drinks, cold drinks, laundry, tips for your guide and support staffs etc. (Tipping is expected but it is not mandatory)
