Kusum Kangaru is a three summit peak in the Khumbu region. Kusum Kangaru means ‘Three Snow White Gods’ in the local Sherpa language. On the Jiri – Everest Base Camp Trek, one of the first snow giant that we come across is the Kusum Kangaru.
Our trek starts in Lukla and we reach the base camp of the peak on the eighth day of our trek. For the next five or six days we make preparations for the ascent. Climbing Kusum Kangaru requires a certain level of technical expertise and some previous climbing experience.
| Day 1 | Arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport. Transfer to Hotel. After your arrival in Kathmandu our representatives at the airport will transfer you to your hotel and help you in checking in. |
| Day 2 | Early morning flight to Lukla (2800m) and Trek to Chutanga (3100m). O/N in Chutanga (3100m). |
| Day 3 | Acclimatization day. O/N in Chutanga. |
| Day 4 | Trek to Tuli Kharka (4400m) via the 4600m pass. |
| Day 5 | Trek to Tashing Ongma (3600m). O/N in Tashing Ongma. |
| Day 6 | Trek to Tangnag (4350m). |
| Day 7 | Acclimatization day in Tangnag. |
| Day 8 | Trek to the Base Camp (4360m). |
| Day 9 | Climbing preparation. |
| Day 10 | Climbing preparation. |
| Day 11 | Climbing preparation. |
| Day 12 | Climbing preparation. |
| Day 13 | Climbing preparation. |
| Day 14 | Climbing preparation. |
| Day 15 | Trek to the High camp (5100m). |
| Day 16 | Climb up to the summit (6367m) and then return to the Base Camp. |
| Day 17 | Trek to Tashing Ongma. |
| Day 18 | Trek back to Tuli Kharka. |
| Day 19 | Flight Back to Pokhara and flight to Kathmandu. O/N in Kathmandu. |
| Day 20 | Return from Lukla to Kathmandu (1350m) and transfer to the hotel |
