This trek is a combination of both the Everest Base Camp and Everest Gokyo Trek, as it encompasses the three high passes; Renjo La Pass (5,340m), Chola Pass (5,420m) and Kongma La Pass (5,535). On the second day of this trek we catch a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, enjoying the majestic Himalayan view in the 40 minute journey. From Lukla we head to Namche Bazaar, where we will stop for acclimatisation before continuing on our journey to greater heights. The first high pass that we come across in this trek is the Renjo La Pass at (5,340m). The next pass we cross is the Chola Pass (5,420m) which is a comparatively difficult climb due to steep slopes and glacial traverses.

On the thirteenth day of the trek we reach Gorak Shep, where we shall ascend the Kala Pathar (5,545m). After a night’s stay in Gorak Shep we trek to Kongma La Pass (5,535m), the third and final high pass on our list. We then make our return to Lukla via Pangboche, Tengboche and Namche Bazaar.  

The three passes trek is suitable for trekking enthusiasts seeking higher levels of challenges. However, this trek does not require prior technical knowledge about climbing and can be succesfully completed by anyone who is physically fit and mentally prepared for long hiking days.  

Day 1 Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport & Transfer to Hotel.
Namaste and welcome to Nepal, You’ll be met and assisted at the airport by our local representatives who will arrange your transfer and check in to your hotel. your hotel.
Day 2 Flight to Lukla (2,840m) and Trek to Phakding. O/N in Phakding (2,652m).
The flight from Kathmandu to Lukla is 40 minutes of pure mountain experience until we reach the Tenzing-Hillary Airport. Our trek begins in Lukla as we descend towards the Dudh Kodhi River before following the trail leading to Namche Bazaar.
Day 3 Phakding to Namche Bazaar. O/N in Namche Bazaar (3,446m).
The trek to Namche Bazar is a steep climb through forests of rhododendron around the Sagarmatha National Park. After crossing several suspension bridges and four hours of walking we reach the Sherpa market of Namche Bazaar.
Day 4 Rest day in Namche Bazaar. O/N in Namche Bazaar (3,446m).
Two days of rest in Namche Bazaar helps us in acclimatisation and prepares us for our journey ahead. Namche, the trading capital of the Khumbu region was once the trading grounds of Tibetan Salt. Even today we can see Tibetans selling rugs, clothing, salt and dried meat in the region. Namche is believed to be one of the best places on earth to see the sun rise and set.
Day 5 Trek to Thame
On leaving Namche Bazaar we head to the Thame valley. The little village of Thame is where we rest for the night.
Day 6 Trek to Marulung
Today we visit the remote Nangpa Valley, a place which was previously restricted to trekkers.
Day 7 Leisure day
Day 8 Trek to Renjo Pass (5,340m) and Gokyo.
Today is a big day as we make our way to the great high pass at 5,340m. After spending an hour taking in the beauty around us we descend downhill to reach Gokyo.
Day 9 Rest day in Gokyo
The Gokyo Ri is a small hill rising from the North of a glacier and requires a 3 hour ascend. Once atop the Gokyo Ri, we can see more of Everest magnificently framed by the Makalu, Nuptse and Changtse.  
Day 10 Trek to Thangna (4,650m).
After spending some time around Gokyo Ri in the morning, we head back to Thangna after a hearty breakfast. We cross the Ngozumpa glacier on our way.
Day 11 Trek to Chola pass (5,368m) and overnight in Jongla.
Today we trek to Chola Pass (5,420m) which is a comparatively difficult climb due to steep slopes and glacial traverses. We stay for the night in Jongla.
Day 12 Trek to Lobuche (4,930m).
 Lobuche is a pleasant walk from Jongla and offers superb views of the Everest, Kala Pathar and Pumori peaks.           
Day 13 Trek to Gorak Shep (5,165m). Optional Kala Pathar (5,545m) ascent 2 hours.
Gorak Shep, is the Base Camp of the historical 1953’ Everest Expedition and the site where Peace Nepal Treks had successfully organised the 2009’  Everest Cricket Match. We also have the option of climbing the famous Kala Pathar peak (5,545m) in the evening.
Day 14 Trek to Kala Pathar and overnight stay in Gorak Shep (5,165m)
Another day around the Everest Base Camp and the Kala Pathar.
Day 15 Trek to Kongma La pass (5,535m) and Chukkung
 Today, we walk to Kong Ma La the last high pass for this trek and stay in Chhukkung for the night.
Day 16 Trek back to Pangboche
Once again we follow the Everest trail until we reach Pengboche where we camp over night.
Day 17 Trek back to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)
The trail now descends to Namche Bazaar which offers superb views of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku and Kwangde peaks. We stay overnight at Namche, a perfect place to celebrate the success of our two week trek.  
Day 18 Trek back to Lukla (2,800m). O/N in Lukla.
On our way back, we cross suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River, make our way through steep descends and walk past numerous tea houses before finally arriving at Lukla.
Day 19 Lukla-Kathmandu
Again, 40 minutes of pure mountain experience on our flight to Kathmandu marks the end of our journey.

Travel Insurances: -

Travel Insurances are compulsory for clients trekking or climbing with us. The insurance should cover you in case of emergencies like accidents, altitude sickness and ambulance and helicopter rescue charges if required. Please carry a copy of your insurance papers while travelling in Nepal and do send us a copy as well. This will help us in making all the necessary arrangements in case of any sort of emergencies.
